The Perfect Brow

Nothing lifts a face like a well-groomed pair of caterpillars.  I can’t tell you how many women amplify their attractiveness by having their eyebrows professionally shaped.  I sincerely recommend you have a professional do your eyebrows first to get a ‘blueprint’, allowing you to pluck where there hairs grow in.

There are three options:

plucking

present participle of pluck (Verb)

Verb:
  1. Take hold of (something) and quickly remove it from its place; pick.
  2. Catch hold of and pull quickly.

threading

present participle of thread (Verb)

Verb:
  1. Pass a thread through the eye of (a needle) or through the needle and guides of (a sewing machine).
  2. Pass (a long, thin object or piece of material) through something and into the required position for use.

waxing

present participle of wax (Verb)

Verb:
  1. Cover or treat (something) with wax or a similar substance, typically to polish or protect it.
  2. (of the moon between new and full) Have a progressively larger part of its visible surface illuminated, increasing its apparent size.

If you’re doing it yourself

Do yourself a favour, and pluck:

  • Cleanse your skin with a warm washcloth to naturally exfoliate your skin, and open your pours.
  • Brush brows up & out.  A clean toothbrush works if you don’t have a brow brush.
  • Use a good mirror (magnifying mirrors if possible) in a well-lit room.  Car mirrors in natural light are secretly my favourite place to tackle my brows.
  • Hold skin tightly & with a good pair of tweezers (slanted or pointed, depending on your preference) tweeze hairs in the direction they grow in.
  • Begin under the arches, above and between.
